The Annual Fishing Tournaments in Puerto Morelos are held yearly during the month of May.

This year, the “Torneo de Pesca Deportiva” GRAN SLAM DEL CARIBE, the 22nd Annual “Cesar Martin Rosado” Tournament will be held in Puerto Morelos the first weekend of May 2011.

The Puerto Morelos Fish Tournament will be held during the last weekend of May 28, 2011. You will be fishing for Marlin, Sailfish and Dorado (Mahi-Mahi) as well as other game fish like Bonito and Barracuda. Those who are registered can win cash, trophies and other great prizes if you pull in the largest fish in class.

Fishing will be done in boats using crews who have vast experience of fishing in these waters. All the boats have sun roof protection. Bait, equipment and refreshments are included. Every angler also receives a commemorative T-Shirt and hat with the “Torneo de Pesca Deportiva” logo.

Enrollment Fees in the Tournament is $200.00 usd per boat, for two days of fishing. If you want to rent a fisherman boat or a yatch and need more information, Contact Us.

This is a very special time of the year for us here in Puerto Morelos and the fishing is only part of the fun. Dancing in the park, carnival atmosphere and local cuisine helps make this an experience you will not soon forget. Many events during these days while the fishermen are gone, kids and no so kids alike can partipate in Beach Voleyball, Football, Basketball and Swimming contests as well.
