At the end of May, it is the time of the year for
the Annual "Torneo de Pesca Deportiva"
Fishing Tournament in Puerto Morelos. If you are not into
fishing, you still can visit Puerto Morelos and be an
observer of this special yearly event. There are games & activities
in the town square and a feeling of celebration.
This is a very special time for us here in Puerto
Morelos and the fishing is only part of the fun. Dances
in the park, carnival atmosphere and local cuisine helps
make this an experience you will not soon forget.
You will be fishing for Marlin, Sailfish and Dorado
(Mahi mahi) as well as other game fish like Bonito and
Barracuda. You can win cash, trophies and prizes if you
pull in the largest fish in class.
Enrollment fees in the tournament is $275.00 usd per
person, for two days of fishing.
Fishing will be done in boats using crews who have vast
experience of fishing in these waters. All the boats have
sun roof protection. Bait, equipment and refreshments are
included. Every angler also receives a commemorative T-Shirt
and hat with the Torneo de Pesca Deportiva logo.

rates for dive/accommodation packages at these hotels.
